After too many bottles of new favorite Sangiovese –2016 Castelvecchio Santa Caterina Chianti– it was time to chef up some brunch to accommodate the needs of the members of our isolation pod.

Nights and mornings now consist of scribbling my conscious flow of thoughts, trying new reds, and flinching at the sight of new notifications flashing before my screen from the corner of my eyes. Waking up to ignorant songbirds chirping outside of my chipped Allston window, I am blessed with a solid 5 seconds of bliss before remembering COVID.
On that note, some of my current recommendations to reduce your boredom:
–Altered Carbon is a steampunk Netflix show based off of 2002 novel by Richard K. Morgan under the same title. “Set in a future where consciousness is digitized and stored, a prisoner returns to life in a new body and must solve a mind-bending murder to win his freedom.”
-NY Time’s Bestselling author, Chuck Klosterman’s But What If We’re Wrong is an ode to “Thinking About the Present As If It Were the Past.” Klosterman speculate topics across music, pop culture, religion and current scientific theories so that “the implied and discussed next step becomes to challenge yourself to think: what are things that we believe today be fact that in hundreds or thousands of years will look clearly to be false?”
–Contagion‘s ensemble cast includes Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, and Kate Winslet. The name is indicative enough. https://slate.com/culture/2020/03/contagion-coronavirus-soderbergh.html
